Foothills Community Needs Assessment Survey
In 2002, C.A.R.E. and the Foothills Fire Protection District (FFPD) asked Metropolitan State College of Denver to create a Foothills Community Survey. The Advanced Social Research class at Metropolitan State College of Denver, directed by Dr. Bacigalupi, prepared and distributed a
survey to the residents in the foothill area, addressing the needs of the community.

C.A.R.E. and the FFPD were interested in the following issues:

• Support for C.A.R.E.'s current positions (on a variety of issues)
• Possible creation of a community/recreation center
• Attitudes toward the FFPD
• Possible consolidation of several fire stations in the foothills area
